The paper gives opportunities for undergraduate students studying across disciplines to develop their academic literacy skills.

The paper is divided into four modules:

  • Module 1: The building blocks of academic writing
  • Module 2: Key language functions
  • Module 3: Research, reading and referencing
  • Module 4: Essays and reports

The paper will be taught through lectures, workshops and the use of Moodle.

HAM students are to attend the lecture and attend one workshop per week. Workshop groups are found below. Students will be able to sign up for a workshop in Moodle during the first week of the paper.

Please note that workshops begin in the second week of the paper.
